Hi, I'm Mataji

I’m a teaching artist and dancer creating expressive, movement-based dance spaces for children and adults rooted in joy, curiosity, and connection. I currently teach ballet and modern dance at Angelica Center for Arts & Music and expressive movement at Remainders Creative Reuse, where I work closely with students and families to build strong technical foundations alongside confidence and creative expression.

My teaching approach balances structure and discipline with creativity and curiosity, supporting adults and children at varying levels as they develop both skill and a deeper relationship to their bodies.
